In order to satisfactorily complete our vocational training programs, students must be willing to commit the required time and effort necessary to obtain employment-based proficiency. An assessment test will be given to determine student’s “ability to benefit” from the training.
What You Would Be Learning
Graduates of the Computer Repair program which includes Computer Repair, Introduction to Networking and A+ Preparation will be able to assemble, install, and support and maintain personal computers and peripherals, troubleshoot problems, make repairs, and perform upgrades. Students completing the program will have the necessary skills to gain entry-level employment as computer technicians, computer repair technicians, computer maintenance technicians, and computer service technicians. Upon successful completion of the course, students should have a working knowledge of the concepts of how a PC works and recognize inherent problems that can be caused by the user and the characteristics of each hardware and software device and problems that may occur. The PC repair tech provides high-tech skills, versatility, and knowledge that link theory with hands-on use of computer equipment. Instructional method: Lectures, lab, guest speakers, hands-on training, assignments/projects, mini job assignments, video, quizzes, and tests. Days: Four hours a day, five days a week (Monday-Friday). Time: Day 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Afternoon 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. A Certificate of Completion is awarded.
